The Starlink python wrapper can be installed with <tt>pip<\/tt> as: <tt>pip install starlink-pywrapper<\/tt>.<\/p>\n<p>It requires a normal Starlink Software Suite to be available on the computer you are using.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\">February 2017 &#8211; JCMT Users workshop<\/h3>\n<p>On February 15th JCMT staff provided a JCMT Users workshop covering a range of topics for interested astronomers in Nanjing, China. This workshop will be given as part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaobservatory.org\/jcmt\/science\/nanjing2017\/\">JCMT Users Meeting<\/a>.\u00a0 The topics covered will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaobservatory.org\/JCMT\/observing-tool-tutorials\/jcmt_ot_tips.pdf\">JCMT Observing Tool tips and tricks<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>This will cover the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaobservatory.org\/JCMT\/observing-tool-tutorials\/jcmt_ot_tricks.html\">JCMT OT tricks tutorial<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>To complete this tutorial, you will need to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaobservatory.org\/jcmt\/observing\/software-installation\/#observing-tool\">install the JCMT OT<\/a> if you do not have it already.<\/li>\n<li>If you have not used the OT before, please take a look at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaobservatory.org\/JCMT\/observing-tool-tutorials\/jcmt_ot_basics.html\">JCMT OT basics tutorial<\/a> first. This tutorial also includes brief installation instructions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eaobservatory.org\/jcmt\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/01\/HeterodyneCalibrationPresentation.pdf\">Heterodyne Calibration<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>This does not have an associated tutorial.<\/li>\n<li>This discusses various concepts to consider for heterodyne calibration, and includes example Starlink commands to apply those calibrations to your data.<\/li>\n<li>This does not cover the basics of heterodyne observing with the JCMT. All participants were asked &#8211; in addition to the instructions above &#8211; to download all the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaobservatory.org\/jcmt\/science\/reductionanalysis-tutorials\/#Datasets_for_Tutorials\">datasets for the tutorial<\/a>. The aim of the meeting was to share the instrument capabilities and interests of their regional institutes and discuss the future instrument options for the JCMT. There were over 200 participants at these workshops from all EAO member countries.
