{"id":12608,"date":"2022-05-29T11:33:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-29T21:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eaobservatory.org\/jcmt\/?p=12608"},"modified":"2022-06-29T11:53:37","modified_gmt":"2022-06-29T21:53:37","slug":"professor-yu-gao","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eaobservatory.org\/jcmt\/2022\/05\/professor-yu-gao\/","title":{"rendered":"Tributes paid following the death of JCMT Astronomer Professor Yu Gao"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">It is with a heavy heart that we learned of the passing of JCMT astronomer Professor Yu Gao (September\u00a029, 1963 \u2013 May 21, 2022).\u00a0Professor Yu Gao<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of\u00a0Xiamen University was a radio astronomer working in the field of extragalactic molecular cloud physics.
