Focus Groups
This year, the intent of the workshop is to take the groundwork laid at the previous discussions to drive to real ways that resources existing in the facilities can be shared to improve the operational and scientific success of the Maunakea Observatories.
The following focus groups will be organised, with the goal of meeting once or twice prior to the workshop (possibly touring the summit facilities, depending on the area). These meetings would aim to understand commonalities and differences between equipment, techniques and best practices at the various observatories with a view to identifying possible ways in which resource sharing could be adopted within the groups’ areas of responsibility. On the registration form, you are asked to identify a group to participate in. We would aim for ~ two people from each observatory per group. Following this, the group leads below will contact you. In the workshop itself, group leads will report the findings for discussion.
