Users Meeting 2024

In 2024, the Users Meeting will be held in Malaysia for the first time, from 10th to 13th June at the Pusat Sains Negara (National Science Centre), Kuala Lumpur. The meeting will be held in person.
The meeting will consist of both talks and posters on the current progress and updates on JCMT sciences and instrumentation. We also plan to arrange hands-on tutorial sessions and lectures for JCMT observations and data reduction, which would help beginners become more familiar with JCMT.
Currently, Malaysia has observer status in EAO and aims to become a full member. The success of this user meeting in Malaysia with many international participants as well as local participants could be the stepping stone to Malaysia becoming a full member. Hence, we would like to encourage the JCMT users to attend this meeting as much as possible.

If you would like to attend the meeting, please register at https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/7765450/JCMT-Users-Meeting-2024At the registration site, you can also submit a title and an abstract if you would like to give an oral presentation or a poster. The deadline for registering for the conference (there is no registration fee) is 30th April.

The latest meeting agenda can be found here.

We will make rooms available for teams that are carrying out current JCMT Large Programmes and for those who wish to discuss future Large Programmes. If you would like to use room for such discussions, please send your request to: JCMT_UM_2024@eaobservatory.org .

If you have any questions about the meeting, please contact the chair of the Scientific Organising Committee Zamri Zainal Abidin (zzaa@um.edu.my), or send emails to JCMT_UM_2024@eaobservatory.org
